LAST
What was the last book you read?
The Regal by Kate Archer

Did this book meet your expectations?
Yes! I was a little surprised this book didn’t have the mystery subplot of the others, but I didn’t miss it. Otherwise, it was the same fun and swoony romcom I’ve come to expect.
Will you recommend this book to others?
Absolutely! If you want a funny, low-angst historical romance, you can’t go wrong with Archer’s A Series of Worthy Young Ladies books.
NOW
What is your current read?
Authentically Izzy by Pepper D. Basham.

Why did you pick this book?
I enjoy books about book lovers and romances that begin through writing — AND it’s an epistolary novel which is one of my favorite forms.
How much time do you think you will take to finish your current read?
Actually… I probably won’t finish it. I’m going to give it a little more time to grab me, but so far, we’re just not jiving.
NEXT
What genre would you like to read next?
Well, I have a few things on my TBR I have to read next because of promised reviews, but I would like to be reading the Lord of the Rings trilogy again, so fantasy. It’s in my queue, but I probably won’t get to it until the new year.
What would you like to pick: a long read or a short read?
I think I just answered that by saying Lord of the Rings! I’m also about to start a reread of The Count of Monte Cristo, so I’m in the mood for door stoppers!
Mention some books you’re eyeing!
The two above, of course. I’m also excited to read Even When You Lie by Michelle Cruz and Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun by Elle Cosimano — Finlay and Vero are always a good time!

I TAG: As usual… YOU! This was a really fun tag, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did (if you haven’t already done it, ha).
Have a lovely weekend, everyone, and good luck with the coming week!
